>>> Put on loop: Onra's Chinoiseries Pt. 2

BUT WHY?: Onra, the Paris-based hip hop beatmaker is a notorious man I'm glad to name drop once asked for song suggestions. No expert in music, but this one's got the best beats for all those occasions (parties, casual dinners, pounding the pavement and more). His sound, in general makes the word "swagger" an incredibly over-rated term with music that captures a certain cool you'd probably fail to understand. Hence we all settle with "Damn Onra's just soo cool."

No Matter What has put in my head a vision of a Dries Van Noten menswear collection and a 2 minute fashion show. It's that kind of cool. Genius.

He's an artist, I believe and I'm a fan. Chinoiseries Pt. 2 is, for me, a better series than his first one, just cause here he sounds tighter. I've included this exact song for my Salt Sunday Sounds and it's possibly the "sickest" I've heard in ages. 

OTHER TRACKS: Aside from this runway-ready track, Ms. Ho will remind you of a country song mixed in with lots of Chinese instruments that'll mellow down into just pure awesomeness. Warrior's Pride is another track to reserve patience for, as the build up, 20-30 seconds into the song, leads into a steady, head-bopping beat.

WHY IT MATTERS: Despite the fact that the video's been on YouTube since July (source Selectism), it's worth your minute and 39 seconds cause it highlights the craftsmanship, effort and real quality that Louis Vuitton puts in to making their timepieces. And honestly, knowing how they make these goodies, adds more to how cool and handsome they are. Just imagine the amount of patience and the level of expertise required just to screw in those tiny silver screws...I'm already sweating just thinking about it.

WHY BOTHER?: As Art Education teaches you, it's not all the time that artists disclose motivation or their purpose of doing art. And maybe Maurizio Cattelan does not fully (or does not at all) share it, but his retrospect presented here at the Guggenheim in New York unsettles, unnerves and inspires one to ask, "What does this all mean?". His works all hanging on white cable cords and floored with steady white boards, is a dizzying, almost nauseating experience on photos alone, making you want to stare harder and stay longer, just to finally understand what it all means. And that's one of the greatest reasons why you should drop by the Guggenheim. It's about time we check out art that's mind-boggling yet far from the gory and fantastic.

Doing their best Dolce & Gabbana, Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake "Showmen of the Year" @ GQ

WHO's IN IT?: GQ's Annual Men of the Year issue (out this December), starts off with the Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake duo. The two made history covering classic Hip Hop songs for fun, not knowing just how much chemistry and talent they both have. Now, they're awarded by GQ as Showmen of the year. Other notable men( (and lady) are Michael Fassbender, Jay-Z, Michael Shannon and Mila Kunis. GQ will be revealing the rest (and I am waiting for the Rookie, the Super Human, the Stud and most of all, the Icon).
