THE EDGE STYLE # 13

DRIES VAN NOTEN SPRING 2010
I'll go ahead and make one big statement: Dries Van Noten IS Spring 2010. Fall 2009 might have belonged to Prada. Now it's all for Dries Van Noten.
Typical Dries Van Noten style: printed pieces of batik, plaid and mosaic for Spring, a swatch of colors that are pitch perfect for Spring to Fall---the navy blues and browns and blacks, the masculine softness to the clothes that contribute to a sort of relaxed and yet polished feel, all had mashed up to make a spectacle of wearable and incredibly stylish clothes. Tim Blanks of men.style.com did point out that Dries Van Noten's "eccentric, ethnic mood" indeed make the Dries Van Noten man quite an interesting individual. One who wears Dries Van Noten and is a confessed Van Noten man is well-traveled, a wide reader and is an artsy one. I for one believe that these cool, sort of travel-around-the-world-inspired clothes can only come from Dries Van Noten. Which makes me one huge fan.
Congratulations to Dries Van Noten for this super cool collection.
