the EDGE STYLE # 31
PRADA FALL 2010

Pink, purple, pale blue, camel, grey, black and some new version of a camouflage: the colors of Prada's Fall 2010 men's wear collection.
The colors---for me, had saved the collection. The buttery camel sports coats (with those three pockets) were Miuccia Prada's best pieces from the collection. Not only were they ultra sleek, modern and cool, they proved to be smart investments since these pieces never really go out of style. A punch of orange (and energy) came in the form of a knitted, round-neck sweater that was worn with an all grey ensemble. Knitted double collars were also seen in this collection, pretty much like Burberry, although here at Prada, it was more tame and stiff. Cardigans were shrunken and knitted, at times looking like grown men sporting their grandmothers' cardigans.
Sadly, this wasn't Prada's best for menswear. I believe that after such major hits like her Spring 2010 and Fall 2009 collections for menswear, it'll be hard to shift the mood to something more tamed and sober. I myself am guilty that I still couldn't move on from her Fall 2009 warrior collection.
